How We Earn
A plain explanation of where our income comes from, and exactly what it costs you.
We work as a mutual fund distributor, and commission paid to us by Asset Management Companies is our main source of income. Alongside mutual funds, we also help with a few related services — such as fixed deposits and insurance — but none of these carry any separate charge to you. Mutual fund distribution remains our only real source of earnings.
We'd rather you know exactly how we're paid than leave it unstated. Here's the current breakdown, by fund category:
| Fund Category | Commission Type | Rate Range | Paid By |
|---|---|---|---|
| Debt Funds | Trail | 0.002% – 0.4% | AMC, from fund expenses |
| Equity Funds | Trail | 0.20% – 1.50% | AMC, from fund expenses |
| Hybrid Funds | Trail | 0.20% – 1.20% | AMC, from fund expenses |
| Liquid Funds | Trail | 0.002% – 0.10% | AMC, from fund expenses |
All commission shown above is trail-based and paid out of the fund's existing expense ratio by the AMC — it is never billed to you separately or added on top of your investment.
